My Method to Good SEO

Improving your online visibility requires lots of hard work, time, creativity and perseverance. SEO is definitely not for the faint at heart. After promoting sites for over ten years, I've been able to uncover what works, what is just a waste of time. Here is the first installment of my method.

Note - If you're new to SEO be wary of those, "Get on Google's Page 1 Tomorrow" advertisements. No one can Guarantee that.

Some of the sites I'm working on currently are:

Minneapolis Web Development
Minneapolis Lawyers & St. Paul Attorneys
Roofing Ventilation, Ridge Vents, Composite Roofing
Donnay Homes
Custom Remodelers, Inc.
Natural Bath and Body Care
Family Portraits

5 Killer Tips for Improving Your Site's Online Visibility

  1. Keyword Research - The first thing that I do in my process is Keyword Research. I try to compile a list of both fat-head (broad) keywords and long-tail (specific) keywords to target. Keep in mind that you really can't target too many keywords on one page without the page looking spammy or sounding unnatural.
  2. Competitive Analysis - Take a look at your competition. What are their strategies? What do their backlinks tell you?
  3. On-Page Edits - Make sure that the keywords you are targeting are in your content.
  4. Off-Page Technical Edits - Create an XML Sitemap, create profiles on Google, Yahoo! and Bing.
  5. Start Linkbuilding - Acquire links from good neighborhood sites. Remember, add them gradually.
Good luck and have fun! Warning: SEO can be addicting!!
